Being Young and Making an Impact
Natalie Warne, a TED talker, made a video called "Being Young and Making an Impact". This video was very humorous, inspirational, and intellectual. She talked about how you don't have to be old to make a difference, and that young people can do it too. She used a sad backstory about herself that really led me to being interested in the video. It was a lot easier to listen and believe what she was saying because of her story. Natalie presented herself as a strong young woman who really wants to make the world a better place. She did this by starting protests, and recruiting Oprah Winfrey to help put an end to this "25 year war" in Africa where rebels were keeping children hostage, and forcing them to be soldiers for them. Soon she had people from around the country joining in on the protests with her. This was very inspiring video to me personally, because I am a young person who would like to make a difference in the world. Natalie Warne's video showed me that young people really can make an impact on the world. She is one of many great young difference makers in the world today. In my American Dream I would love to help make the world a better place just like her.
